Episode 105: A Deep Dive with Lama Willa Miller

In this episode Elizabeth will be speaking with Lama Willa Miller. Lama Willa is a student and authorized dharma teacher in the Kagyud lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. In her 20’s she engaged in twelve years of monastic training, and did two consecutive traditional 3-year retreats. She isthe founding teacher and spiritual director of Natural Dharma Fellowship in Boston, which has a spiritual retreat center in Springfield, NH.

Willa is grounded in traditional practice, but open to all wisdom traditions. She is disciplined, intelligent, and kind. The term “nurturing” comes to mind when I think of her. In this personal interview she talks with us about entering a lineage, the value of meditation, the importance of heartbreak, and the flow of responsiveness and compassion that naturally emerge from dedicating one’s life to spiritual practice.
